4th of July in Eagar
If you ever have the privalge to stay a weekend with Mia in Eagar, you need to jump at the chance. She is a party in a box! Always has something fun up her sleeve! For a jog down memory lane. Nathen and I met in Flagstaff and began dating. Mia also was living in Flagstaff. Wyatt moved to flagstaff to be closer to Mia back in 1999. That is when our first adventures began. It is always a treat to go to her home and this trip did not disappoint.
We camed down on a Wednesday evening so we could arise early and take a trek down near Winslow to Clear Creek for a rafting advneture. We used Kayaks and Paddle boards and we all had a super fun time. We packed lunches and took them with us. It was about a 2 hour drive to Winslow. We kayaked down the creek it was about 3-miles one way. We ate lunch and then headed back.
AJ and his family joined us as well. I think everyone had a really good time! We hope to do it again!
On Firday Nathen, I and our children (Landen, Janelle and Serra) (Ethen and Breeana are in California, Kyle and Honey were in Prescott and Rachel had to work). We drove an hour north to Lakeside and saw my mother and Shcana. It is always a delight to see her. She is a beautiful soul. If there ever was a soul on Earth that could be an angel it would be my mother. She is aging, and doesnt recongize who we are. But we had a good time visiting with her. We also got to see my nephew Chris and his family and my neice Megan. These are Shcana's chdilren that were there visitng for the 4th of July. We helped with a few projects and then headed back to Eagar.
The fourth was on Saturday. We arose and went to the parade. This year was the USA's 250 birthday and the parade honored that celebration.
Later that evening we wathced the fireworks.
Wyatt now works for the airport and we got to watch the fireweroks right on the tarmack. They were luancing fireworks from the air port. I have never seen such beatuiful fireworks. We were right up front and center. We could literlly almost see them launching them.
The fireworks were delayed 30 minutes due to a life threatneing emergency. Someone had to be life fligthed out of Eager and we got to see the plane land and then take off again. That was Janelle's favorite part!
Grateful for a wonderful trip to Eagar. We had such a beautiful time. Grateful for a beautiful country to live in and celebrate!
